Budget Work Session Meeting
October 25, 2016
Call meeting to order.
Town Board Chairman Wayne Ace called the Budget Work Session Meeting to order on October 25, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Clerk Denise Arnold called roll the following Supervisors were present Tom Wiedenbeck, Phil Van Kampen, Fred Clark, Chairman Wayne Ace. Also, present: Park Chairman Steve Root, Park Committee member Jeff Nelson and resident Dave Frankson.
Park Report and possible Action re: Town Park Walking Entrance.
Park Chairman Steve Root presented plans designed by Arlan Kay for a walking/biking entrance at the west end of the Town Park. Two estimates for the project were shared.
a) Maple Leaf $7,500.00
b) Timberland $6,750.00
The Park Committee would prefer the Timberland on the project and it would be paid for with Park Funds. Motion made by Clark and seconded by Wiedenbeck to approve the installation of a walk-in entrance plan at the west end of the Town Park and award the bid to Timberland in the amount of $6,750.00. Motion carried. Due to a nature of the staggered rock walls a bike, wagon, stroller or pedestrian could enter however a motor vehicle, snowmobile or 4-wheeler could not.
Preparation of the 2017 Town Budget.
Park Chairman Steve Root requested that the Town Board resume placing $4,000 per year into a transportation/recreation in the annual budget calculations. The Town Board continued the meeting with ta work session for the 2017 Budget year.
Set date for employee review.
The Board decided to distribute employee review forms to all Board Members and employees by November 18th. The completed forms should be returned to the clerk’s office by Friday, November 25th. The Board will then meet with employees the week of November 28th.
Motion made by Wiedenbeck and seconded by Clark to adjourn the October 25th, 2016 Budget Work Session Meeting at 8:15 pm. Motion carried.
