Chair Darryl Weber called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the following Supervisors present Wayne Ace, Chris Johnson, Jerry Jensen and Clerk Denise Arnold. Absent: Phil Van Kampen. Dennis Moungey representing Payne and Dolan was also in attendance.
The Board Supervisors discussed the bids that were prepared by Dane County. Weber was concerned about starting the work so late in the summer. The time table is late and would the blacktop cure properly? Representative Dennis Moungey of Payne and Dolan said the Town would be fine as long as it is not wet. Ace measured the remainder of Hillcrest to finish the paving to Bellbrook (approximately .66 miles longer). This additional paving would still be within a reasonable amount of budget figures planned for 2010.
Motion made by Ace and seconded by Jensen to accept the bid from Payne and Dolan for the 2010 paving project in the amount of $190,200. Motion carried. The projects for 2010 are as follows.
• Marie Road (Hillcrest to 5423 Hillcrest)
• Whispering Oaks (Marie Road to Cul-de-Sac
• Hillcrest Lane (CTH A to Bellbrook Road)
• Sugar Hill Road (Hillcrest Lane to Cul-de-Sac)
•TOTAL 2010 PAVING
Motion made by Weber and seconded by Ace to approve the amendment zoning petition #10201 for Roger Parsons of 5207 Lincoln Road. Motion carried. This would amend zoning petition for land division and rezone. The change in driveway configuration would preserve more of the agricultural land.
The Town of Oregon Blanket Rezone Petition number 10244 was tabled at this time. Dane County is going to discuss the rezone at their September work meeting. There was no action necessary.
Motion made by Ace and seconded by Jensen to adjourn the August 25, 2010 Special Town Board Meeting at 8:15 p.m. Motion carried.
