The regular monthly meeting for the Town Board of the Town of Oregon was held one May 4, 2004.  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairperson, Gerald Jensen, with Supervisors: Wayne Ace, Darryl Weber, Rick Andersen and newest member Pen Beasley present. There were 9 other persons in attendance.

MMS/Andersen-Weber to approve the operator’s licenses for Mya C. Horn, 8213 N. North Ct., Evansville and Lori G. Sears, 102 Clubhouse Dr. #4, Oregon.  Motion carried.

MMS/Andersen-Weber to approve the minutes of 4/6/04. MMS/Andersen-Ace to accept the treasurer’s report.  Motions carried. Andersen gave a report of the ETZ Comm. and wanted the feelings of the board regarding the extension. All recommended ending the ETZ to the Comm.

The bids for roadwork were opened and the following bids were awarded:
ADDENDUM #1---A 2” surface blacktop coat for roads within the subdivisions of Windridge and Hillcrest Heights---Payne and Dolan, Inc.---$89,315.25 MMS/Weber-Ace---Motion carried.
ADDENDUM #2---Echo Valley Rd.---Not awarded
ADDENDUM #3---Wedging Bellbrook Rd. (Union Rd. to Tipperary Rd.)---Frank Bros., Inc.---$44,200 at $26 per ton MMS/Ace-Jensen Motion carried with Andersen voting no because he thinks the companies bid as a package not piece meal.
Seal Coating Bellbrook Rd. (Union Rd. to Tipperary Rd.)---B. R. Amon & Sons, Inc.---$6,249.24 per mile doing approximately 3 miles MMS/Weber-Jensen---Motion carried.
ADDENDUM #4---Town Park Rd. and Parking Lot---Payne & Dolan, Inc.---$28,872,40 MMS/Weber-Ace Motion carried with Andersen voting no for same reason.
ADDENDUM #5---Stub handicap hiking paths to the woods from the parking lot approximately 600 feet by 10 feet;---Payne & Dolan, Inc.---$4,290.00 (The width of the bike path changed to 8 feet and 21/2 inches) ( The costs to be calculated at $39 per ton) MMS/Weber-Jensen---Motion carried with Andersen voting no for same reason.

Joanne L. Huston, 3767 Sky High Rd., Cottage Grove, WI requested a correction of her Rezone for Petition #8653.  The RH-1 spot rezone was recorded at the original request, but it was changed per Dane Co. Board request to be 150 feet from Glenway Rd. instead of 900 feet. MMS/Weber-Ace to instruct the clerk to write to Administrator to allow Joanne a zoning permit to build her new house while the correction is being made. Motion carried.

MMS/Andersen-Weber to accept a proposal from Linda Jackson to review and make sure the web site is updated.  Motion carried.

Steve Root, Chr. of Park Comm., reported that we received that advance of $25,000+ for Phase II from the Stewardship Funds. Road Closed sign to be made, chips to be put at Ravenoaks Park, Work Day set for May 22nd for the Town Park, and checking into concrete tables for the Town Park.

Discussions about driveway permits on Echo Valley, Oak Hollow, Glenway and Rome Corners.  Put driveway and building permit fees on next meeting.

Set Closed Session with atty regarding Roger Larson.

MMS/Weber-Beasley to adjourn the meeting at 10:00 p.m.
