A Special Plan Commission Meeting was called to order by Chairman Darryl Weber at 7:20 p.m. Plan Commission members in attendance included Andy Blomstrom, Lloyd Klahn, Darryl Weber, Brian Duffin and Sharon Christensen. Town residents who attended included John Pinger, Mark Brylski, Dan Phelps, Sheila Spear and Pen Beasley. MSA representative Andy Bremer also attended. The only item on the agenda was the review and adoption of our comprehensive land use plan.

Residents had some questions concerning lighting standards in the township and conservation subdivision management. These would be addressed in site ordinance policy.

Change to the most recent draft of our comprehensive plan included:

1. Housing Goal – page 16, Reference a definition for Neighborhood Plan.
2. Economic Development – page 51 Add sentence to first paragraph as follows: Any commercial development must be fully congruent with the Vision Statement, in particular those sections regarding maintaining rural character.
3. Economic Development – page 51 Policy 1A – Add sentence as follows: Commercial enterprises that are accepted in the Conservation Subdivision areas must follow those rules by providing open space parcels and open space access.
4. Land Use Element- page 63, Change the wording in the first paragraph from developers to applicants.

Andy Bremer showed us the revised land us map showing changes to commercial zoning areas.

Lloyd Klahn moved to approve the amended comprehensive plan. Andy Blomstrom seconded this motion. Motion passed. The comprehensive plan recommendation will be passed to the Town Board for final approval.

Sharon Christensen moved to adjourn the meeting and Lloyd Klahn seconded this motion. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
