The Plan Commission meeting was called to order by Chairperson Weber at 6:50. Lloyd Klahn moved to approve petition #9286. Motion seconded by Dave Hagemann. Motion carried.
There was no reading or approval of the minutes from the July 26, 2005 meeting because there was not an official meeting in July.
A representative from Alliant Energy presented information regarding the proposed Sun Valley Substation. Alliant Energy would like to locate a substation on the Fish Hatchery corridor between County D and Lincoln Road. An area of 5 to 6 acres would be desirable. Sarah Justus, location relations representative for American Transmission Company, (ATC) explained the increased need for electrical service in the Town of Oregon and surrounding areas. Alliant Energy and ATC will be working together on this project.
Questions/Comments were made by the following residents of the Town of Oregon regarding the Sun Valley Substation.

Chairperson Weber suggested that the TORC location be considered. The suggestion to explore that possibility would be researched by Alliant Energy and ATC. They will report the results of their findings at the September Plan Commission meeting.
Jana and Andrew Strehlow of 5796 Alpine Road inquired to the Plan Commission members about building a new house on their property and maintaining their current dwelling. The property is currently zoned A2 with 13.99 acres.
Resident Steve Tachon of 1121 Judd Road had questions regarding building a new house in the wooded property that he owns.
Dave Hagemann made a motion to adjourn the meeting, motion was seconded by Lloyd Klahn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:40.
