Monday December 17, 2012 @6:30pm

Present:  Janine Jensen, Mark Brylski, Steve Root, Bob Johnson

Also present:  Chris Johnson

The meeting was called to order.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and were approved as read.

Steve reported that he met with Mitch Condon and Steve signed off on his project.  His project will be completed next spring.  Eagle Scout candidates Tom Richards and Alex LeBrun are both on the hockey team and unable to attend this meeting.  Tom hopes to meet with Steve this week to get his project signed off.  Both scouts hope to make their presentations at the January meeting.

Steve reported that he met with Oregon Village President Steve Staton, administrator Mike Gracz and Dane County Supervisor Jerry Bollig.  The County has funds available to assist with the bike path that the Village is creating.  Steve informed the Town Board that he would do some preliminary investigation into what an application for these funds would look like.  He is going to meet with Phil Petersen in January about his land and whether it can be brought into the equation.  If it is, then Steve would like to have a motion by the committee to begin the paperwork to see if we would be eligible for 50/50 matching funds.  These funds would be to build the path.  Jerry Bollig indicated that the County is very interested in completing this path.  Bob moved and Mark seconded the motion to begin the preliminary work on the application process.  Motion carried.

Steve reported that he had gotten the name of Bob Beers, a mason who will help the committee give an estimate of what it might cost to stabilize and repair the creamery chimney that Phil Petersen promoted.

Mark asked about the structure that has been constructed in the Town Park.  What should be done with it?  Does the town have any liability if it were left up in the park?  And would they re-build it if we tore it down?  There is no evidence of garbage around the structure.  It was decided that Steve would mention it to the Eagle Scout candidate to see if it was in place when he completed his project, and perhaps talk to the history department at OHS to see if it has any educational value.

The next meeting will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 6:30pm.

Bob moved to adjourn and Mark seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,

Janine Jensen
