Please see here for a brochure on the Town of Oregon Recycling Center (TORC). (Brochure is being updated.) This will provide information on location, rates, and item accepted.
The Town of Oregon Recycling Center (TORC) is a complete recycling and waste disposal center for all Town of Oregon residents.
The site is a full-service site for disposing of trash or recycling a variety of items. To use the TORC, you need to purchase a TORC punch card from the Oregon Town Hall, 1138 Union Road or at the TORC. The punch card costs $40.00 and never expires. This works out to $2.00 per 30-gallon bag brought to the site.
There is no charge for bringing in recyclables that are placed in the bins, but we do have a minimal charges for special items. These items cost the Town money to recycle and we are merely passing this cost on to the residents. See the fees chart below.
DO NOT BRING ... TVs, air conditioners, computers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, microwaves. Those items require special disposal, see Recycling Locations in Dane County below.
Dane County provides alternative locations to dispose of items not allowed at the TORC. Please contact Clean Sweep or refer to Recycling Locations in Dane County. Please contact as changes are made in what is accepted. There also can be fees associated with disposing of some items.
